M45tv Sin-Seer [Hip-Hop Freestyle] PART 2

@Sin_Seer with the highly anticipated part 2.  It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything new from Sin as behind the scenes he’s been working away on numerous projects.

This video is only a reminder of the levels Sin has set in terms of Hip Hop in Manchester. His relaxed character, intriguing lyrics and real attitude put him miles ahead of the more fabricated rappers that the UK has to offer.

After a great initial response Viiper has re-uploaded his taster mixtape ‘Flower From The Concrete’ in the wait for his next BIG release.

So far 2012 has proved to be a most productive year for the Oldham teen. The one man HipHop dynamo has been constantly writing, perfecting his flow, recording, producing, performing AND creating music videos. Its a good look at the age of 17.

Grab the mixtape from the link above and be sure to check out his youtube channel with new performances from Unity Radios Bassment

Critical come extremely correct once more with what is bound to be an early summer smash as a certain Dub Phizix picks up where the almighty ‘Marka’ left off. Teaming up with fellow Manchester scene stalwart Fox proves an inspired choice here which Critical just couldn’t ignore, so invited him back to drop these two more astonishingly fresh tracks for this, his second outing on the label.
Simply put, ‘Never Been’ is baaaaaad man business. A lean, stripped back percussive intro leads us to a breakdown where Fox greets us with the sickest of vocal hooks that you’ll be trying to decipher until the end. When the tribal half-time break drops it’s time to bounce as the undulating b-line rolls heavy throughout with Dub Phizix teasing with awesome drum edits and Amen shakedowns. Riddim!
Cinematic soundscapes and a solid beats combine on ‘Codec’, a more bass-led slab of equally dance floor drum & bass that retains the Dub Phizix air of originality with an experimental break the kicks like a mule. Another winner without doubt from a very exciting splinter cell coming out of the north of the UK right now.

Exclusive to the Digital package, ‘Handmade’ makes a welcoming addition to this stomping release!

I was in two minds about posting this, those asked about the future of Manchester’s ‘Urban’ music scene were obviously not all in a position to comment. For example the guy who used the term ‘sucks’ is the kinda guy who probably also uses the term ‘yolo’. It goes without saying really, his opinion is invalid.

However, shouts to Small D, Dirtklod and WhyJay for their honest and positive appearances. The video highlighted a few points. One being that we all owe alot to Shifty and another being that Manchester Grime is a sort of phoenix- rising from the ashes.

It shouldn’t be the impression though that ‘urban’ means simply grime. Manchester has a huge ‘urban’ scene from rave culture to HipHop. Bass Music Nights, DJs and Producers are thriving and the city is home to talented hip hop collectives such as RedIQ and The Mouse Outfit. And anybody who could possibly claim there is little potential for Manchester music to ever reach out obviously was blind to the fact that Marka has been continually dropped all over the world…
